Evernote is also a Web-based application that stores your notes. You can either take simple text notes and audio recordings on the iPad and then sync this information with your Web-based account. If you have pictures on your iPad, you can add these pictures to your note and then upload that to the Evernote Web interface.
The interface for the Web-based account is very similar to wiki-style editing, so you can do a lot more in terms of formatting. The audio recording option is okay, but it looks like there may be a limit of 20 minutes for a recording. You are limited with the free account to a 40MB upload allowance, but the premium account gives you lots of options.

Created in cooperation with the UNESCO World Heritage Centre, Fotopedia Heritage provides a virtual passport to the hundreds of sites that constitute the world’s collective cultural and natural human legacy.iBrainstorm (Free) Students can use virtual stickies and handwriting to brainstorm.Kindle App for iPad free ebook app (You will need Amazon account)LIFE (free) up-to-the-minute news photo collection. Students can easily email photos.Popplet Lite ( free) (full version $4.99) Graphic organizer that can include pictures and handwriting and be emailed.ShowMe (Free) to record voice-over whiteboard tutorials and share them online. It's a radically intuitive app that anyone will find extremely easy to use. Students and teachers can make video tutorials to share them by email. An account with ShowMe has to be created.
Google has a search tool that has a microphone icon in the upper right corner. Clicking on that gives you a brief period of time to speak what you're searching for. The voice recognition is remarkably good and you almost instantly get a long list of possible websites and resources that fit your search terms. Touching a back arrow at the top left of the results page gives you a drop-down list of possible word combinations that might be what you're looking for, in case it didn't correctly identify what you said.
Whiteboard (free) Great collaborative tool! Collaborative drawing app.Two users can create pictures together over local Wi-Fi or Bluetooth peer-to-peer.

AudioNote Lite (free) AudioNote combines the functionality of a notepad and voice recorder to create a powerful tool that will save you time while improving the quality of your notes. I was using during a conference and I was able to record up to 10 min. The sharing capability is available only in the full version of AudioNotes (4.99)
Dragon Dictation (free) an easy-to-use voice recognition applicationNotability (2.99) Students can create electronic notebooks for each subject and take notes both handwritten and typed, insert audio message, video and pictures in their notes. PDF viewer with the ability to highlight and markup document.
The sharing capability is excellent!
PaperDesk Lite (free) New Features: While playing audio, tap a word and PaperDesk will take you to the point in the recording when you typed that word! Task lists with notifications are also included in each notebook. Features: allows either hand-written or typed notes, upload entire notebooks to GoogleDocs, and it can also be set up as a whiteboard.

Use the PhotoBooth-style warping effects to add some fun. There is a free version for you to try Comic Touch Lite (free).Story Cubes: (1.99) 9 cubes, 54 images, Over 10 million combinations, Unlimited stories!Adobe Ideas (5.99) lets you create stacks of pages with pictures, text, sketches, or whatever, and keep them organized.
GarageBand (4.95) Play collection of instruments, create songs, and share by email.
Ideate (3.99) is a great little sketch tool that might work for students needing a way to record notes pictorially. Appear useful for visual learners and for art classes.
Prompster (9.99) It is the ideal app for practicing and delivering public speeches, lectures, podcasts, radio scripts, video scripts, and for any other scenario that requires a speaker to communicate with an audience using notes or a script.
